How do you avoid sizing discrepancies when ordering rings in bulk
Hi all. Ring sizing errors have been an ongoing issue for my shop lately. We keep receiving batches where a size 7 is closer to a 6.75 or has an oval, warped shank from sloppy polishing. This leads to awkward customer resizing requests and unnecessary bench work. What manufacturers have you found that deliver true-to-size, perfectly round rings?

Inconsistent ring sizing is one of the most frustrating hidden costs in jewelry retail because resizing or replacing poorly cast bands drains both your bench time and profit margin. Dimensional discrepancies usually happen when suppliers use worn-out molds or rush the final buffing stage, resulting in oval shanks and uneven wall thickness. To maintain consistency, I purchase my wholesale gold rings from a manufacturer that relies on modern precision casting and strict dimensional calibration. Every piece, from slender 1mm stacking rings to heavier gemstone cocktail designs, arrives true to size across the entire size run. The shanks are round, well-balanced, and have sufficient thickness to allow for future resizing if a client desires it. Having dependable sizing accuracy saves hours of administrative back-and-forth and gives shoppers full confidence in their purchases.
