Has anyone here recently flown out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport? I am curious about what the check-in experience is like, especially during busy travel periods.

I usually prefer Charlotte Douglas International Airport Check-in in online before reaching the airport, but I am wondering how much time people recommend leaving for baggage drop, security, and getting to the gate. I have heard the airport can get quite busy, so I would rather arrive early than end up rushing.

For those who travel through Charlotte regularly, do you have any useful tips for making the process easier? Is there anything first-time travelers commonly overlook when checking in or navigating the airport?

I would also appreciate advice on parking, finding the right airline counter, and how early to arrive for domestic versus international flights. Personal experiences and practical tips would be really helpful.
