Depending on the problem, fixing an iPhone charging port starts with identifying the root cause. Sometimes, just cleaning the port can be a problem-solving step. People tend to become a little messy in their lifestyles, so little pieces of dust and other stuff get inside the charging port, making the connection dirty and preventing proper connection. With the use of a non-metal object and being really careful, one is able to clean the charging port and quite possibly have a fully functioning charging port in no time. Another thing that is a must is testing the charging cables, adapters, etc. to make sure that the problem does not lie in the accessories. A simple restart of the device or checking if there is any software issue may do the trick sometimes. But if the issue remains after these procedures, it can only mean several things: the problem is a hardware one (a broken charging port or failure of internal components). When this happens, a professional repair is the way to go as it is the safest and most effective solution.
